Why Steven Spielberg Watches Only One Movie per Year

The movie industry has rapidly changed during the course of the last 15 years.

Instead of getting better, movies have gone from excellent to extremely awful in the last decade.

I spent many days trying to figure out where it all went wrong, movies weren’t always this awful, they used to inspire people, they used to change people’s lives, they used to keep us wondering for days, but now all of that has vanished.

Although the technology has been drastically improved, the movie structures kept on getting worse as the time passed by.

The art element that was so important for the industry has almost disappeared and it seems like all they care about is making money instead of inspiring people.

Nowadays almost every movie is a blockbuster that has the same movies structure as all the other blockbusters. Don’t get me wrong, there are still some good movies form the last decade but unfortunately, they are extremely rare.

Since movies have gotten worse I decided to stop watching the latest movies and only watch one movie that had an enormous impact on my life.

I guess you are all wondering by now what movie I watched for a full year. The movie that had such a strong impact on my life was Forrest Gump.

“Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you gonna get”

It’s a wonderful masterpiece that encourages people that they can achieve anything no matter what the odds are.  If you have watched this movie you know the point I am trying to make, but if you haven’t watched it I strongly recommend that you do.

Most of you who are reading this post can understand my frustration on why I am not interested in watching the latest blockbuster movies and I will continue to watch movies that can inspire and change my perception.

If you think that there is a movie that is worth watching, please don’t hesitate to share that movie with me.
